报告人简介：
马永革，北京师范大学物理与天文学院教授，北师大引力与相对论研究中心主任，欧洲物理快报（EPL）编委；研究领域涉及：圈量子引力、广义相对论、规范引力理论、高维引力和宇宙学；曾主持完成国家自然科学基金重点项目等多个课题的研究，研究成果获得教育部2016年度高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖。

报告摘要：
How to unify general relativity and quantum mechanics remains the greatest challenge to fundamental physics. As a non-perturbative and background independent approach to quantum gravity, loop quantum gravity has achieved considerable progress. In this talk, the ideas and basic structure of loop quantum gravity will be introduced, and the recent progress on cosmological and black hole models in this theory will be reviewed.
